How long does shipping take?

Domestic US orders typically arrive in 3–5 business days. International orders, including Mexico and Latin America, take 7–14 business days depending on the destination. All orders are roasted fresh before shipping.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We currently ship to the United States, Mexico, Canada, and select countries in Latin America. If your country isn't listed at checkout, reach out to us directly and we'll see what we can do.

Is there free shipping?

Accepted Answer

Free shipping on all US domestic orders over $40. For Mexico and Latin America, free shipping applies to orders over $600 MXN equivalent. International orders outside these regions are calculated at checkout.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Orders can be modified or cancelled within 12 hours of placement. After that, the roasting process may have already begun. Contact us immediately at hello​@​alichalmercoffee.com and we'll do our best.

What if my order arrives damaged?

We stand behind every bag we ship. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement at no charge.

Whole bean or ground — which is better?

Accepted Answer

Whole bean is always our recommendation. Coffee begins losing its best flavors within days of grinding. If you have a grinder at home, buy whole bean and grind just before brewing. If not, we grind to a medium-coarse that works well for most brew methods.

How should I store my coffee?

Store in a cool, dark place — away from heat, light, and moisture. Our bags come with a one-way valve and resealable zipper for freshness. Don't refrigerate or freeze unless you're storing for more than a month. Room temperature in the sealed bag is ideal.

How fresh is the coffee when it ships?

Every order is roasted to order and ships within 48–72 hours of roasting. We don't keep pre-roasted inventory sitting on shelves. You get it fresh.

What is the Ali Chalmer universe?

Ali Chalmer is a series of adventure novels set in rugged mountain country — stories about endurance, landscape, and the kind of people who keep going when the road gets hard. The coffee is the official brand of that universe. Every roast name, bag design, and tasting note is drawn from the world of the books.

Do I need to read the books to enjoy the coffee?

Not at all. The coffee stands completely on its own. But if you're curious about the world behind the brand, the books are a great place to start. Check out our Books & Lore page for more.

Is Ali Chalmer Coffee affiliated with a specific author?

Yes. Ali Chalmer Coffee is the official brand of the Ali Chalmer book series. The coffee and the books are part of the same creative universe, developed together from the beginning.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?

Yes. We work with independent coffee shops, bookstores, boutique hotels, and specialty retailers. Minimum order quantities and pricing are available on request. Use the contact form and select "Wholesale Inquiry" as your topic.

Can I carry Ali Chalmer Coffee in my store?

We're selective about retail partners — we want the brand in places that fit the aesthetic and values of the Ali Chalmer universe. If that sounds like your shop, reach out. We'd love to hear from you.

Do you offer custom or private label options?

Accepted Answer

Not at this time. We focus on our three core roasts and the Ali Chalmer brand identity. Custom label work isn't something we currently offer, but we're open to conversations about creative partnerships.
